Western society has a long-standing interest in weight loss and the easiest ways to achieve it, yet many dieters experience confusion around the best methods to try.
While there is no one-size-fits-all approach to shedding pounds, social media platforms are awash with handy tips.
In a recent TikTok series, mother-of-four Aroha Clarke documented some of the meals that helped her shed 2st 5lb in just two months.
“I lost 15 kg in two months,” she told her viewers. “There’s something I use to increase my protein.”
Aroha’s favourite snack includes just three ingredients

The snack in question is a high-protein sweet treat, featuring just three ingredients: Greek yoghurt, powdered peanut butter and dark chocolate.
Greek yoghurt is hugely popular among the dieting community thanks to its exceptionally high protein content.
Nutrition expert Ana Residorf, MS, RD, has previously told GB News: “Protein helps increase satiety and reduces overall calorie intake by keeping you fuller for longer.”
Each cup of Greek yoghurt delivers approximately 20 grams of protein, which helps maintain stable blood sugar levels. This, in turn, reduces food cravings that derail weight loss efforts.
Selecting the right type of Greek yoghurt is crucial for weight loss, however, with body-building specialist Nader Qudimat advising careful selection when shopping for protein-rich foods.
“If you’re trying to lose weight with Greek yoghurt, go for the low-fat plant types, stay away from the ones that have artificial flavours and extra sweeteners,” he advised.
The second ingredient in Aroha’s bowl, powdered peanut butter, offers additional protein while maintaining fewer calories than traditional peanut butter.
She tops off the snack with some sugar-free chocolate melts, another low-calorie alternative to regular chocolate.
Dieters are encouraged to do at least 30 minutes of physical activity on most days

Aroha’s weight loss is proof that food swaps are excellent weight loss tools, allowing slimmers to find low-calorie alternatives to the snacks they love most without compromising on taste.
But while calorie deficits support weight loss, shedding fat isn’t always a case of simple math.
Dieters are encouraged to do at least 30 minutes of physical activity most days to reduce their calorie intake by 500 calories.
It’s crucial that slimmers avoid undereating when embarking on a diet, as this only deprives the body of key nutrients that the body needs to operate optimally.
