Marks & Spencer has unveiled what it describes as its most extensive summer drinks menu to date, centred on a Make-It-Your-Own Matcha offering that puts customisation in customers’ hands.

The British retail stalwart’s café division is introducing a bespoke matcha experience, allowing shoppers to select their preferred milk, syrup and serving temperature.

The new range features PerfectTed ceremonial-grade matcha, six fresh beverages and nine new dishes at M&S Café locations nationwide.

Two trending syrups headlining the drinks selection are Custard Cream and Almond Croissant, available served hot or over ice.

The menu features Iced Mango Matcha, Iced Strawberry Shortcake Matcha and Custard Cream Milkshake

The beverage lineup includes an Iced Mango Matcha combining fruit purée with oat milk, alongside an Iced Strawberry Shortcake Matcha sweetened with agave and finished with biscuit crumb.

For those seeking indulgence, a Custard Cream Milkshake priced at £4.50 arrives topped with whipped cream and an M&S Extra Cream Custard Cream biscuit.

The Almond Croissant Latte, available hot or chilled at £4.30, rounds out the new offerings.

M&S reports that matcha sales have doubled over the past twelve months, mirroring similar growth in iced coffee purchases.

The retailer’s secret menu gained significant traction in February, prompting this expanded matcha programme.

The food menu receives equally substantial attention, with the retailer’s popular flatbreads gaining a summer refresh featuring British pork slow-cooked for eleven hours, paired with pickled red onions and Monterey Jack cheese at £7.50.

All-day ciabatta rolls join the selection from £5.50, with options spanning smoked bacon to halloumi with tomato chutney, utilising meat from M&S Select Farms.

A veggie omelette made with British free-range eggs, tomatoes, mushrooms and mature cheddar served on rocket for £4.50.

The cake station introduces a Pistachio & Lemon Bundt Cake, Raspberry Clotted Cream Muffin and a vegan Lemon & Blueberry Bakewell Slice.

M&S

The complete summer menu is now available across all M&S Café locations throughout Britain.

Prices may differ at certain stores, the company notes.

For those unable to visit in person, M&S food products remain accessible through Ocado, though the online retailer sets its own pricing independently of high street stores.
