Morrisons has launched an exciting new chocolate range that throws tradition out the window in favour of fun and creative combinations.

The supermarket’s CHUNK bars promise to deliver “unapologetically indulgent” treats for those who think chocolate should be “a little bit extra”.

The range features three permanent flavours alongside a special limited-edition bar available over the festive season.

Each creation combines “velvety smooth milk chocolate and irresistible layers of crunchy, chewy, and sweet surprises”.

Morrisons describes them as “bold and bright” treats designed to transform ordinary moments into special occasions.

Chocoholics can snap up the four bars in stores and online now as the supermarket steps into a new “era” of confectionery.

‘Our collection of chunky bars has been developed to create excitement and indulgence in every bite’

The flavour combinations are wonderfully creative. There’s Popping Candy with Rainbow Sprinkles and Candy Pieces, which Morrisons calls “a sweet shop explosion with pops, crunch and a colourful finish”.

Another variety pairs Sea Salt with Pretzel and Nougat, blending “sweet and salty, soft and crunchy for a mouth-watering treat”.

The third permanent flavour brings together Sea Salt, Cornflake, and Honeycomb for what’s described as “crunchy indulgence in every bite”.

Expect fruity, fudgy ‘decadence’ from the limited-edition seasonal bar

Meanwhile, the limited-edition seasonal bar features Raspberry and Blueberry Cookie with Brownie. It’s a “fruity and fudgy decadent bar” that Morrisons suggests is “worth savouring while it lasts”.

At £2.50 per bar, these treats are positioned as affordable luxuries that make brilliant Christmas stocking fillers.

Morrisons suggests they’re ideal for “festive gifting” or simply as a way for shoppers to “add a spark of fun to their shopping baskets”.

Director of Own Brand at Morrisons, Lizzy Massey, said: “Our new collection of chunky bars has been developed to create excitement and indulgence in every bite, featuring a mouth-watering pairing of smooth milk chocolate infused with an assortment of delicious ingredients for playful textures and irresistible flavours.

“This new range gives our customers a bold, fun, and affordable way to enjoy the kind of chocolate bar that everyone’s talking about.”

Morrisons recently caused controversy after a brand-new Cadbury egg was spotted on supermarket shelves months before Easter.

While some predicted the Easter treat would be “heaven in an egg”, others believe it’s “too chuffing early”.

“Easter eggs? The big man has not been born yet!” one commenter joked, as another asked: “Have I missed Christmas?”
