Morrisons has given its More Card app a makeover, rolling out a batch of new features to help make the weekly shop easier and more affordable.

The updated app brings three standout changes, including new deals, a shopping list tool and a revamped homepage.

The More Card app also features an updated look and feel designed to make the whole experience smoother and more intuitive.

Highlights include a new way to save, as shoppers will find six tailored weekly offers. A ‘Shopping List’ tool that lets you scan empty product barcodes from your kitchen, and a new homepage that makes the popular Price & Product Finder easier to find are also coming.

More Card app users now get six fresh deals every week, each one shaped by what they regularly pick up in their big shop.

The app looks at your actual shopping habits to offer discounts on products you regularly buy, helping shoppers save more money every week.

There will be two types of rewards available: either percentage discounts on items or bonus More Points when you pick them up during the offer window.

The new Shopping List feature aims to help you remember what you need that week. Once you finish a product at home, you can scan its barcode with the app, and it gets added to your list for next time.

The products on your list are sorted by aisle so you can navigate your local store more easily. This is similar to a new Sainsbury’s tool that helps you put together a shopping list, find the best deals and track down items in stores.

In the new More Card app, the Price & Product Finder is on the redesigned homepage, making it quicker to look up items, check their prices, and find them in stores.

Value & loyalty marketing director at Morrisons, Gareth Lloyd, said: “We’re always listening to our customers and looking for ways to make the Morrisons More Card app even better.

“We’ve built on what customers already love, making the app easier to use and navigate, while introducing smarter, hyper-personalised offers and convenient features to simplify everyday shopping. It’s all about ensuring our customers get maximum value and rewards tailored specifically to them.”

The More Card itself earns shoppers five More Points on every product purchased across Morrisons supermarkets, online, Morrisons Daily stores, and through Amazon, Deliveroo, Uber Eats and Just Eat.

Those points can be converted into More Card Fivers to spend on future shops, and the app is available to download on the App Store and Google Play.
