Morrisons has just launched a brand-new travel booking service that lets shoppers plan their next getaway while earning loyalty rewards.

The supermarket giant has teamed up with Expedia Group to power Morrisons Travel, which is now live on both the Morrisons website and the More app.

The service opens up access to over 900,000 properties around the world, along with flights, car hire, tours and activities.

Whether you are hoping to book a city break or a sun-drenched beach escape, customers can now sort the whole trip in just a few taps.

You’ll be rewarded with More Points for booking through the platform. Here’s how the rewards work: for every pound you spend on hotels, car hire and activities, you’ll bag yourself 10 More Points.

Once you’ve made a booking, your points will show up in the More app as ‘pending’ – so you can see exactly what you’ve earned.

The points will get properly added to your account after you’ve completed your trip, meaning there is no need to worry about cancellations or changes messing things up.

It’s worth noting that flights aren’t included in the points earning scheme, but hotels, vehicle rentals and activities all count towards your total.

A week’s accommodation could really add up to rewards that can be exchanged for Morrisons Fivers, to use against the cost of your next shop.

This new travel service builds on the existing More Card programme, which already rewards shoppers with five points for every product they buy in store, online or at selected Morrisons Daily locations and through Amazon groceries.

Customers can also collect points when filling up at Morrisons petrol stations. Once you hit 5,000 More Points, you get a Morrisons Fiver to spend on your next shop.

Director of procurement at Morrisons, Jamie Winter, said: “We’re excited to be able to offer our customers even more reasons to shop at Morrisons with the launch of our new travel booking service, powered by Expedia Group.

“Customers can now book everything from flights to hotels through Morrisons while being rewarded through our More Card, once their trip is complete. This new service is designed to make life a little easier by offering more simple, good-value options in areas that really matter to our customers.”
