Watch the moment a courageous Briton holds a Union Jack flag aloft in front of a sizeable rabble of mask-clad Antifa protesters.

She spoke to Ben Leo on GB News in London as migrant hotel protests erupted in the capital.

The People’s Channel star described her as the “personification of Britain at the moment”.

She faced hundreds of ‘anti-racist’ demonstrators yelling “refugees are welcome here”, donning masks and waving black flags.

The police created a protective barrier in front of her as she held the flag aloft, fearing tensions possibly boiling over.

“Are you not intimidated by this lot?”, Ben asked, to which she simply responded: “No.”

Asked why she wanted to stand up to the vocal crowd, she said: “My children. I fear for their future.”

Asked what she thought of the protesters, she said: “Scum”, before pointing out that she and other anti-asylum hotel demonstrators were not wearing masks.

Ben moved away from the scene, expressing concern that tensions could be set to boil over at any moment.

He then said: “The lady. Props to that woman, she must be 50 or 60. She is standing there defiantly by herself in front of a sea of masked Antifa protesters.

“I tell you myself, I have been to these protests myself in recent weeks. I was at Epping last week.

“These people who turn up in masks, I don’t know who they are or who funds them, they can get very nasty indeed. I speak from personal experience.

Ben Leo spoke to the woman on GB News

“That woman there is brave and courageous and probably speaks for a lot of the country now.”

Tensions erupted in Islington this afternoon as opposing demonstrators faced off outside a hotel which currently houses asylum seekers.

A contingent of black-clad, masked individuals identifying themselves as anti-fascists emerged from a nearby street and advanced towards protesters who had assembled to oppose the hotel’s use for asylum accommodation.

The confrontation prompted immediate police action, with officers rushing to create a barrier between the opposing factions.

Metal barriers had already been positioned to maintain separation between the groups, but the unexpected arrival of the masked demonstrators led to momentary disorder before authorities restored control.

The Metropolitan Police had anticipated potential unrest and deployed additional officers to the scene, having previously announced enhanced security measures for today’s demonstrations.
