Morrisons has started stocking Cadbury Biscoff-filled Easter eggs, and shoppers can’t quite believe their eyes.

The food blog Newfoodsuk shared the discovery on social media, calling it “superb” and awarding it “10/10”.

The unexpected post has gone viral in a matter of days, with nearly 10,000 comments and 7,000 reactions as Britons weigh in on the brand-new egg.

While some shoppers are thrilled about the latest Cadbury addition, others are baffled by Easter products appearing before Christmas has even arrived.

Many shoppers expressed frustration about the timing. “Easter eggs? The big man has not been born yet!” one commenter joked. Another asked: “Have I missed Christmas?”

The seasonal confusion was a common theme in the comments section. “We haven’t had Christmas, and they’ve got eggs on sale,” a third Facebook user pointed out.

Others were more direct with their displeasure, with comments such as “Too chuffing early” and “Hang on, it’s not Easter yet!”

While some predict the Easter treat will be ‘heaven in an egg’, others believe it’s ‘too chuffing early’

“Are we just not bothering with seasons any more?” questioned one shopper. Another pleaded: “Can’t we have Christmas first?”

Some commenters seemed resigned to the year-round availability of seasonal treats, noting: “You’ve always been able to get things like Creme Eggs, hot cross buns, mince pies all year round.”

One shopper even suggested an alternative festive use: “I’d love these if they could be chocolate hanging decorations for the tree rather than eggs.”

‘I could break my diet for one of these!’ admitted one chocolate enthusiast

Despite the timing concerns, many shoppers were absolutely delighted by the discovery. “Heaven in an egg,” one chocoholic declared, while another enthusiast wrote: “Now, this sounds sexy.”

The excitement was obvious from several Morrisons shoppers. “Now you’re talking,” someone responded, while another admitted: “I could break my diet for one of these!”

Others feared the chocolate Biscoff eggs could be fake news, and shared desperate pleas for some confirmation. “Please tell me this isn’t AI,” one person wrote, hoping the product was genuine. Another declared: “This is a NEED, not a want.”

The enthusiasm translated into immediate shopping plans for some. One social media user pledged a trip to Morrisons “just for this”. Another person announced: “If this is true, I’m off to Morrisons tomorrow.”

Some shoppers had specific requests for loved ones, urging them to snap up the treat at their local supermarket as soon as possible.

“If you see these, pick me up about 42 of them,” said one shopper, while another declared: “I will take 100 before January.”

The urgency was clear in many comments. “Looks like a lunchtime dash to Morrisons is on the cards,” someone wrote.

Meanwhile, one shopper mock-threatened a friend: “Get me there immediately or I may do something dreadful.”
