Local residents have descended on a hotel near Heathrow airport to protest mass migration
A woman with a megaphone was heard saying: “This is a peaceful, peaceful protest for our community and our children.
“Guys we are totally 100 per cent behind you. But keep it peaceful, keep it peaceful please!”
The Home Office recently outlined proposals to change the mixed accommodation hotel to exclusively house male asylum seekers.
They have previously been approved for families and single women at the venue; however, they have been relocated.

Spelthorne Borough Council leader Joanne Sexton raised concerns regarding changes to the hotel in a letter sent to the Secretary of State
Spelthorne Borough Council leader Joanne Sexton raised concerns regarding changes to the hotel in a letter sent to the Secretary of State.
The Home Office has vowed to close all hotels by the end of Parliament, and it will “continue to work closely with community partners”.
Sexton said: “This unexpected reversal has caused shock and significant concern within the local community.”
She said the change has risked undermining the residents “integrating well and building community ties.”
In a similar protest over asylum seeker hotels, Essex Police attended a protest outside an asylum hotel in Epping
Sexton said she is, “alarmed about the potential consequences of the proposed changes and the impact they will have.”
“Residents are very concerned and have begun contacting their local councillors for clarity, which they’re unable to provide due to the lack of official briefing.”
Fresh talks between the council and the Home Office are set to take place on Friday.
The council statement read: “We are pleased to inform residents that the Council can now confirm that the Home Office has agreed to speak with the Council on Friday 1 August to discuss the proposals in greater detail.”
