The Metropolitan Police has released new CCTV footage which it says shows a mistakenly released migrant sex offender.

Hadush Kebatu was set free weeks after being jailed for sexually assaulting a 14-year-old girl and a woman in Epping, Essex, while staying in a hotel.

The Met says this footage shows Kebatu in a library in Dalston Square in Hackney, north London, at around 18:00 on Friday.

Earlier, it issued a direct plea to the sex offender, urging him to hand himself in.
