Meghan shares first glimpse of family life after return to UK | UK News

Last month, a spokesman for the Sussexes would not confirm the family’s arrival in the UK, but did say they were bringing their dogs, Mia and Pula, with them.

The couple adopted a black Labrador retriever several years ago, which is seen several times in the clip.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex stepped back as senior royals and began a new life in the US in 2020.

They have not returned to official duties but will live in Britain as non-working royals.

It is thought the family will base themselves at a private property outside of London in the Cotswolds area, and Archie and Lilibet have been enrolled in a school.

Last week, a spokesperson for both the Duke and Duchess said the couple were surprised by a letter send by the Prince’s father, King Charles III, clarifying they would remain non-working royals.

The spokesperson said the couple “were a little surprised not to have been told about this in advance”.

The letter, sent on behalf of the King, spelt out the non-working royal status of Prince Harry and Meghan.

They will still not be able to use titles of “His and Her Royal Highness”, and remain “private citizens”, says the letter sent on behalf of the King by the Lord Chamberlain, a top Palace official.
