The insider stated that Jessica Mulroney feels she suffered due to the spotlight the friendship put her under.
It comes as Jessica’s marriage to her husband Ben is coming to an end after sixteen years together,
Jessica is said to have announced her separation from her husband to acquaintances at a social event in Toronto last month, that the Canadian style expert attended on her own.

Ben and Jessica, who were considered influential in Toronto social circles, are parents to twin boys aged fourteen and a twelve-year-old daughter.
Their relationship suffered a setback after a 2020 social media controversy involving Jessica and race-related issues with a blogger sparked public backlash, according to an insider who spoke to the Mail this week.
Jessica gained prominence in Britain through her close association with Meghan, the Duchess of Sussex, whom she befriended in 2014 whilst the future royal was residing in Toronto.
The friendship was on display for the world to see during the 2018 Windsor Castle wedding, where Jessica served as principal attendant to the bride.
