Meghan Markle may be on the verge of returning to Hollywood, with industry sources suggesting a Suits film could be in development.

Television insiders stated that executives are eager to capitalise on the legal drama’s remarkable streaming resurgence by bringing the Duchess of Sussex back together with her former cast mates for a spin-off project.

Producers are reportedly considering offering a co-executive producer position to the 44-year-old.

Meghan portrayed paralegal Rachel Zane in the popular series before stepping away from her acting career to wed Prince Harry.

The original series continued for two further seasons following her departure, though the spin-off Suits: LA was cancelled last May after broadcasting just 13 episodes.

Despite this, the original legal drama has experienced an extraordinary renaissance on streaming services, dominating Netflix’s charts from 2023 through to 2025.

The show now holds the record for highest viewing minutes achieved in a single week, amassing an impressive 3.7 billion minutes of watch time globally.

This phenomenal second life for the series appears to have prompted executives to explore ways of extending the franchise, with a feature film emerging as the most ambitious option under consideration.

Meghan, meanwhile, is set to make an appearance playing herself in the forthcoming Netflix comedy Close Personal Friends, starring alongside Lily Collins and Brie Larson.

Series creator Aaron Korsh, who reportedly maintains a close relationship with Meghan, has refrained from commenting publicly on the film speculation.

However, he has previously indicated a willingness to return to the Suits world, fuelling hopes that a reunion project could materialise.

A recent exchange between Meghan and her former on-screen partner, Patrick J Adams, has highlighted the enduring bonds between the original cast members.

Last month, Mr Adams shared an image of five jars of the Duchess’s As Ever preserves that had arrived following his playful complaint on a podcast about being overlooked for her products.

“Worth the wait!” he wrote, thanking Meghan “for the deliciousness.”

The delivery followed the Duchess of Sussex’s swift social media response promising “Jams en route” after Adams’s lighthearted remarks about his “jamlessness.”

Industry sources claim Mr Adams, along with Gabriel Macht, Rick Hoffman, Sarah Rafferty and Gina Torres, have already been approached about a potential return to the franchise.
