Meghan Markle and Kamala Harris are set to join forces after the Duchess of Sussex failed to endorse the US candidate for president last year.

The Duchess of Sussex and Ms Harris will be attending Fortune’s annual Most Powerful Women Summit in Washington, DC, on October 14.

It comes a year after Prince Harry and Meghan did not endorse any candidate for the 2024 Presidential Election.

This marked a huge change from the 2020 election, where the Sussexes appeared in a video urging voters to “reject hate speech, misinformation and online negativity”.

Many believed at the time that this was a thinly veiled swipe at President Donald Trump, who at the time was running against the future President Joe Biden.

The Duchess of Sussex also labelled the race “the most important election of our lifetime” in the Time Magazine video.

Buckingham Palace distanced itself from Prince Harry’s comments, claiming that as he was no longer a working royal, his statements were made in “a personal capacity”.

In response, President Trump said: “I’m not a fan of hers. I would say this – and she probably has heard that – I wish a lot of luck to Harry, because he’s going to need it.”

Despite not endorsing Ms Harris during the 2024 election, Meghan will join the former Vice President at the Most Powerful Women Summit in Washington, DC, next week.

The Duchess of Sussex will speak to Alyson Shontell about her As Ever products, which include jam, honey, flower sprinkles, wine and many other items.

Meghan is also expected to discuss “navigating entrepreneurship in the public eye and building a brand that will endure.”

Meanwhile, Ms Harris will open up about her failed presidential campaign and recently-released book, 107 Days.

The book documents the 107 days between Ms Harris being nominated as the Democratic candidate for president and election day, where Mr Trump succeeded in becoming the 47th President of the United States.

Joe Biden, the 46th President of the US, dropped out of the race on July 21, 2024, following his disastrous first debate against Mr Trump.

Mr Biden’s performance was widely criticised, as the then-81-year-old failed to coherently express his thoughts on several occasions.

Actress and singer Selena Gomez will also be attending the Fortune summit to discuss her Rare Beauty brand.

The appearance will end a busy stretch of travel for Meghan, who is in New York City this week with Prince Harry to receive an award for their charity work.

In addition, the Duchess of Success made her debut at Paris Fashion Week last weekend.

A spokesman for Meghan told GB News she attended the Balenciaga show in support of Pierpaolo Piccioli, who recently assumed the role of Creative Director for the fashion brand.
