MasterChef Australia star Shannon Bennett has been roasted online after he shared a shock clip to social media of the unconventional way he makes scrambled eggs.
The celebrity chef, 48, posted the footage to Instagram, which captured him enthusiastically preparing the dish in his expensive $400 Le Creuset saucepan.
However, Shannon told fans he wouldn’t be making it the conventional way with ‘water, milk and cream’, which he explained would ‘dilute the eggs’.
‘It’s just eggs that are whisked up with a little bit of butter and salt. That’s it,’ Shannon told his followers, as he got to work preparing the breakfast staple.
He then cracked raw eggs into a pan and began whisking them around before pouring olive oil in and letting the recipe simmer.
The culinary expert grabbed his expensive Le Creuset saucepan and poured the heated eggs into it, and then quickly scraped them around with a spatula before happily telling his fans the food was ready.

‘I think you’re a great chef but I am old school, eggs, cream, butter, butter and more butter lol,’ one fan joked.
‘I love my scrambled eggs with butter and cream,’ a second person wrote.
