GB News star Martin Daubney was lost for words after a police chief said that raising St George’s flags and Union Jacks in public were “intimidating”, asking whether she felt the same way for Palestinian and pride flags.

Emily Spurrell, chairwoman of the Association of Police and Crime Commissioners (APCC), blasted “Operation Raise the Colours” at a national conference on Tuesday.

Raising flags is “disturbing, intimidating and does not reflect British values”, Ms Spurrell declared.

“Does she feel intimidated by the Palestinian flag? I bet she doesn’t,” Martin asked. “Or does she feels intimidated by pride flags? I bet she doesn’t.

“Well, specifically and deliberately, once again, choosing the national flag to get intimidated about. It’s pathetic!”

“Operation Raise the Colours” is a movement aiming to boost patriotism in Britain, although many have criticised the campaign over concerns of stirring up hatred and fuelling division.
