Watch the moment Martin Daubney furiously clashed with a GB News guest over the Green Party offering free accommodation to illegal migrants.

Under proposals backed by leader Zack Polanski, the Greens would offer illegal migrants free accommodation and a Universal Basic Income with no requirement to seek work, according to newly-surfaced policy documents.

Undocumented migrants arriving on the shores of Britain would receive immediate access to NHS services and would be allowed to work without restriction as part of the party’s vision for “a world without borders”.

The internal papers, revealed by the Daily Mail, have also set out plans to ditch immigration detention entirely and grant amnesty to migrants whose asylum claims have been rejected.

The documents read “migration is not a criminal offence under any circumstances” and set out an approach that would treat new arrivals as “citizens in waiting”, encouraging them to settle permanently.

After Martin described the policy as “a step too far”, human rights lawyer Shoaib Khan argued “it depends”, urging Martin to wait and see the impact of the announcement.

He added: “Finally, we have a policy that seems to be, even if it’s not open borders, is taking these people’s concerns seriously.

“So I think it’s a matter of taking each of these claims of policies one by one.”

But Martin highlighted increased migration could make it more challenging for Briton to receive medical treatment, in hospitals, GPs and dentists, he added: “If you throw the borders open to the world, it stands to reason that I get much, much worse.”

However, Mr Khan argued that it was merely an issue of “our Government’s incompetence” rather than a reason to be against the Green Party’s policy.

He added: “We are one of the most highly taxed, highest taxed countries in the world. How is it possible that we don’t have a medical appointment?

“That is something that the Government needs to look into.”

Martin remained staunchly against the lawyer’s argument, putting to his guest: “Just say this policy came into effect today. We’ve already got record numbers in the channel today. Over 500 coming over today.

“If a message went out on their TikTok videos come to Britain, you can work immediately, you’ll be given a free house, you’ll be given free money, and you’ll get access to all of the same public services that British taxpayers get.

“And you don’t have to pay a single penny in. Riddle me this, will more or less people flood over the Channel tomorrow?”

Once again, the guest said “it depends what we mean by that”, with Martin incredulously responding: “Answer a simple question!”

“It can be a simple answer. More or less people would turn up for the offer of free money?” he asked.

Nevertheless, Mr Khan stuck to his guns, arguing that the Green Party could open up safer legal routes for the migrants to make the crossing.

“But regardless of that, I think, I mean, the numbers would probably go up,” he ceded, with Martin later thanking him for his “blind optimism” in a remarkably back-handed slapdown.

In Mr Polanski’s party policy, migrant families would be provided with exclusive use of a house or flat, while single men would be allocated their own rooms in shared properties.

Meanwhile, those identifying as LGBT would receive separate accommodation for safeguarding reasons.
