The attacks, which took place while Sir Keir was prime minister, began on 8 May 2025, when a car he had previously owned was found on fire on a street where he used to live in Kentish Town.

Three days later, on 11 May, a fire was discovered at flats linked to Sir Keir in nearby Islington. He had lived there years before.

The next day another fire was discovered at the entrance to Sir Keir’s Kentish Town home, which he was renting out to his sister-in-law, Judith Alexander.

She told the trial of billowing black smoke rising up the stairs while she was in the house with her partner and her daughter.

Lavrynovych and Carpiuc were found guilty of conspiring together and “with others” to damage property by fire between 1 April and 13 May 2025.

A investigation revealed the arson attacks were part of an extensive campaign of sabotage, provocation and lies leading all the way to the Russian state.

The handler EL, who directed Lavrynovych, offered Russian citizenship in return for other attacks and glorified President Vladimir Putin.

Evidence identified by the suggested EL was a young Russian diplomat.
