A man exposed himself to a 12-year-old child, an 87-year-old woman and other members of the public during a bitter row over a piece of land.
Paul Tyminski was involved in a “heated exchange” with his neighbours, which prompted him to display his bare buttocks to the pair, a court heard.
The 58-year-old man appeared at Dunfermline Sheriff Court, where he admitted committing an act of public indecency on August 10.
Mr Tyminski conceded he had deliberately exposed his buttocks towards people present at around 2.30pm.
Prosecutors said the elderly woman and her family had been returning from a nearby garden centre when a “heated exchange” erupted between her son and Tyminski.
During the altercation, he pulled down his trousers in full view of passers-by.
Tyminski later told police he had instructed those present to “kiss my butt”.
The 58-year-old, of Main Street in the small Scottish village of Cairneyhill, said his mooning was an “emotional reaction” during the row.

“It was an emotional reaction when you are told you are going to be murdered again,” he said.
Defence solicitor Michael Short said the incident arose from a long-running dispute over ownership of land between neighbouring properties.
“He says he’s now doing his best to keep himself to himself,” Mr Short added.
The prosecution accepted there was no significant sexual element to the offence.
