A 25-year-old man has died after four pedestrians were hit when a car mounted the pavement in London on Christmas Day.
Aidan Chapman passed away from his injuries on New Year’s Eve, police confirmed on Thursday.
He was one of four pedestrians hit when a vehicle mounted the pavement on Shaftesbury Avenue in the early hours of December 25.
The incident occurred near the Sondheim Theatre in the heart of London’s West End.

Three other pedestrians were also injured in the attack: Tyrone Itorho, Marcelo Basbus-Garcia, and Miguel Wairich.
Police described the incident as a “violent attack” but confirmed it was not terror-related.
Chapman’s parents released an emotional tribute, saying they were “utterly devastated” by the loss of their son.
“The loss of our beautiful son is a parents worst nightmare,” the family said in a statement. “He enriched everyone’s lives.”
The statement added: “He was a loving, kind, funny soul and the world is a darker place without him. We, his parents, have lost the best part of ourselves.”
Anthony Gilheaney, 30, was arrested minutes after the incident on Christmas Day.
He was initially charged with four counts of attempted murder after allegedly ploughing into pedestrians.
The Metropolitan Police has now confirmed it will now review the charges following Chapman’s death.
Detective Chief Inspector Wayne Jolley, from the Met’s Specialist Crime Command, said: “Our thoughts are with the victim’s friends and family at this difficult time.”
“My team are continuing to conduct enquiries to establish all the facts surrounding the circumstances,” he added.
Scotland Yard also appealed for anyone with CCTV, dash cam or mobile phone footage of the incident to come forward.
The Met is also seeking information from anyone who had contact with the suspect that evening.
