Drivers are being warned of several serious vehicle recalls from some of the largest brands in the world amid fears that vehicle issues could cause fires.
The likes of Kia, Ford, Honda and more have issued recall notices for various faults that may increase the likelihood of a fire or collision.
GB News has rounded up the most important car recalls issued over recent weeks that motorists need to know about.
Honda
New documents filed with the United States National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) have recalled 256,603 vehicles relating to a software error.
Certain 2023-2025 Honda Accord Hybrid vehicles are being recalled as the integrated control module (ICM) central processing unit (CPU) could reset while driving, causing a loss of drive power and increasing the risk of a crash.
As part of the recall notice, dealers will examine the ICM CPI software, while owner notification letters will be sent out at the start of January next year.

More than a quarter of a million Kia K5 vehicles are being recalled from model years 2021 to 2024 amid a serious fire risk.
The recall warned that a damaged check valve can allow air to enter the fuel tank, causing it to expand, contact hot exhaust components, and lead to the tank melting.
The melted fuel tank can leak, increasing the risk of a fire. Dealers will inspect the tank for damage and replace it if necessary.

Almost 230,000 Ford Bronco and Bronco Sport (2025-2026) models are being recalled as the Instrument Panel Cluster (IPC) could fail when the vehicle starts.
The NHTSA documents state: “An instrument panel display that does not show critical information, such as warning lights or vehicle speed, increases the risk of a crash.”
The remedy will see the IPC software updated by a dealer or via an over-the-air update. All remedies are free.

The South Korean company is recalling 85,000 of its 2020-2023 Sonata vehicles for a similar fault as Kia’s fuel tank recall.
The recall has been issued for the same causes identified by Kia, with owner notification letters expected to be sent out by January 16, 2026.
Documents state that drivers could be alerted to the issue if they hear a “pop” noise from the rear of the vehicle, their vehicle will not start, or there is a strong odour of fuel.
