Ahead of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s anticipated return to Britain later this month, Madame Tussauds London has shifted the couple’s wax figures into its British Culture Capital Zone.
The Baker Street venue staged the models carrying suitcases and standing beside a Royal Guard, offering a playful preview of what the Sussexes’ homecoming might look like.
Prince Harry’s figure is outfitted in a navy suit, with Meghan Markle in a striking blue dress, ensembles modelled on an iconic photograph from The Endeavour Fund Awards on March 5, 2020, taken shortly before they formally stepped down as senior working royals.
Ali King, Head of Operations at Madame Tussauds London, said: “With the surprise news that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex are returning to UK shores, we wanted to mark the occasion at Madame Tussauds London.”

Ms King added: “Dressed to impress, they’ll be joining an incredible line-up of British icons, from Sir David Attenborough and Harry Kane to William Shakespeare and many more, making it quite the star-studded British reunion!”
The waxworks now sit among some of the nation’s most celebrated cultural figures.
Visitors to the attraction are being encouraged to greet the Sussex figures before the family’s actual arrival in Britain later this month.
The couple plan to settle in a non-royal residence outside London, six years after departing Britain for a new life in the United States.

A YouGov survey conducted last month showed just 22 per cent of Britons view Meghan favourably, against 65 per cent who hold a negative impression, while Harry fares slightly better at 33 per cent positive and 58 per cent unfavourable.
The waxworks have a history of being repositioned to reflect real-world developments.
In 2019, the museum briefly separated the pair so Meghan’s figure could mingle with A-list friends including the Beckhams.
The following year, both figures were removed from the Royal Family display entirely after the couple announced they were stepping back from senior duties.
