Lorraine Kelly has shared her thoughts on Olympian swimmer Adam Peaty’s public feud with his mother, Caroline.
The 30-year-old, who is getting married to Gordon Ramsay’s daughter Holly next month, but is thought to have uninvited his mother.
On Tuesday, nursery manager Ms Peaty took to social media to express her devastation after her son’s extreme action during their feud, which is believed to have emerged over the differing financial situations between the two families.
“The ones I love are the people who hurt me the most,” she captioned one post along with a crying face emoji.
The couple became engaged last year, but it’s understood Ms Peaty hadn’t been invited to her soon-to-be daughter-in-law’s hen do recently, instead remaining at home to look after her grandson, Adam’s child.
Meanwhile, the influencer’s pre-wedding festivities at Soho Farmhouse included her mother Tana, Victoria Beckham and Adam’s sister amongst the guests.
It’s believed the row goes beyond just the engaged couple, with the wider Ramsay family understood to be distant from Adam’s relatives.
Sources close to the Ramsays have described how the Peatys are not Gordon and wife Tana’s “cup of tea”.

Speaking to MailOnline, the insider revealed there had been “difficulties” between the two families since Ms Ramsay, 25, and Mr Peaty got together.
With reports of the feud circulating, TV presenter Ms Kelly decided to weigh in during her self-titled ITV show.
Speaking to entertainment reporter Rishi Davda, Ms Kelly remarked on the situation: “It’s sad.
“And they’re saying she [Caroline] might not be going to the wedding, Adam’s mum?”
Turning to directly face the camera, the host stated: “Adam, if you’re watching, pick up the phone to your mum. You and your mum have to sit down and work that out.
“You’ll regret it if you get married and your mum’s not there. Just saying.”
A source close to the family told MailOnline this week: “The Ramsays are rich and they like the nicer things in life because they can afford it.
“On the other hand, the Peatys are far less polished. Adam has a starry new life now and it seems he has left his family behind.”
Talking about snaps posted from Holly’s hen do, the source continued: “You only have to look at the picture to see that there is a certain ‘type.’
“They all look the same and you wonder if Caroline might have stuck out a bit.
“She’s a normal woman, not a celebrity. You look at Holly’s Instagram and it’s all so planned, so super-glam and very, very showy. That’s not Caroline.”The 59-year-old shared her anguish on Instagram this week, posting an image that read: “When you love someone, you protect them from the pain, you don’t become the cause of it.”
