Lisa Riley’s appearance on the latest episode of I’m A Celebrity has prompted concerns among fans.

The actress, famed for her long-term portrayal of Mandy Dingle in Emmerdale, is among brave celebrities braving the Australian jungle this year.

Ms Riley, 49, seems to be settling into camp life well, but Thursday’s instalment saw left viewers asking if she was ok.
The episode saw newcomers Vogue Williams and Tom Read Wilson arriving during a trial, Camp Fright.

Hosts Ant McPartlin and Dec Donnelly explained the group’s goal in camp would be to win badges handed out by Ms Williams and Mr Read Wilson.

Throughout the episode though, fans were distracted by Ms Riley, whom they believed looked under the weather.

One asked on X: “Any else noticed Lisa’s eye looks swollen? #ImACeleb.”

Responding, someone else wrote: “I think it’s a bug bite that’s swollen.”

“Yeah it doesn’t look good tbh,” the viewer shared.

Another asked: “Is Lisa alright? Looks like she’s got a shiner #ImACeleb.”

“What has happened to Lisa, has she been bitten just below her eye?….#imaceleb,” another echoed.

One more added: “Guys I am worried about Lisa, the bugs have really got her #ImACeleb.”

Despite the concerns, Ms Riley continued to be a hit with viewers, with many others noting how much they were enjoying watching her.

“Lisa is lovely #ImACeleb,” another viewer agreed. (sic)

Speaking ahead of her I’m A Celebrity debut, the actress shared the poignant reasons for signing up to the popular ITV show.

She explained part of her motivations came from the encouragement of her deceased Strictly Come Dancing partner, Robin Windsor.

Mr Windsor, who passed away in 2024 at 44 years old, had consistently urged Ms Riley to participate in the jungle-based show.

The 49-year-old performer believes Mr Windsor would have been thrilled by her decision.

“I know he is definitely on my shoulder – he will be gleaming with pride,” she stated, acknowledging his enduring influence on her choice to embrace the new challenge.

Ms Riley’s mother Cath, who died from breast cancer in 2012, remains another powerful presence in her decision to enter the jungle.

“I can’t help feel that maybe it is my mum in heaven giving me a message to do the show,” Riley shared to The Mirror.

She imagines her mother would have encouraged her to “knock them dead and just have a laugh”.
