KFC fans have just two more days to snap up the food giant’s famous bunless burger.

The Zinger Double Down burger disappears from menus this Sunday, November 9, marking the end of its triumphant comeback.

The spicy sensation returned to restaurants earlier this year after a five-year hiatus, quickly becoming a “nationwide obsession”.

Indeed, more than 1.1 million of the burgers have found their way into eager hands across the country since their re-emergence.

An “unstoppable” force, foodies can’t seem to resist the unconventional creation that swaps traditional buns for crispy chicken.

Much to the delight of KFC fans, the “bunless icon” returned to menus on October 13.

“You all demanded it, and we listened,” the fast food chain joked, giving customers just under a month to indulge in the dish.

But with barely 48 hours left until it leaves restaurants, devoted fans are rushing to grab their final fix of this limited-time favourite.

For those wondering what makes the Zinger Double Down so special, it’s all about the bold combination.

Two zinger fillets packed with spice replace the usual buns, perfect for chicken enthusiasts.

Between them sits a golden hashbrown, melted cheese slices, and a generous helping of Supercharger Mayo that brings extra heat.

Starting from £7.99 for the burger alone, hungry customers can level up to a meal for £9.49 or splash out on the box meal at £10.99 – think chips, a drink, a side, and two hot wings alongside the main event.

It’s easily accessible for those keen to try it; you can pop into your local KFC or order through Deliveroo, Uber Eats, Just Eat or KFC’s own delivery service.

KFC reiterated that this Sunday is the last chance to experience the cult-favourite bunless wonder.

Once November 9 passes, the restaurant has not confirmed when – or if – the Zinger Double Down will make another appearance.

Beyond KFC, other food giants have been busy developing new menus for their devoted customers.

Burger King recently unveiled autumn deals that promise “mouth-watering” dishes at “unbeatable value”.

In an “epic” first-time partnership with Ticketmaster, the chain is giving music fans the chance to win tickets to see “the biggest artists on the planet”.

Until November 10, customers who buy the Tasty Tickets Bundle for £6.99 through the Burger King app are automatically entered into the prize draw.

For those already in the festive spirit, Starbucks has unveiled its holiday menu featuring a “unique, cloud-like” chocolate latte.
