Lady Louise Windsor was joined by her boyfriend this afternoon as she picked up her Duke of Edinburgh Gold Award from her father.

The 22-year-old collected the award from Prince Edward this morning at the Palace of Holyroodhouse.

Supporting her throughout the ceremony were her boyfriend, Felix da Silva-Clamp, and mother, Sophie, the Duchess of Edinburgh.

Lady Louise sat next to both Felix and Sophie before collecting the prestigious award from her father, the Duke of Edinburgh.

The award scheme carries profound personal significance for Lady Louise, having been founded by her late grandfather Prince Philip some seventy years ago.

She maintained an exceptionally close relationship with the late Duke of Edinburgh throughout his life.

The late Queen’s granddaughter also received her degree in English and international relations from the University of St Andrews yesterday, marking a significant 24 hours for the young royal.

King Charles and Queen Camilla swiftly offered their congratulations to their niece via social media platform X.

“Congratulations to Lady Louise on her graduation from St Andrews University!” the monarch and his wife wrote.

“Lady Louise was joined by her parents, The Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh, as they celebrated the end of her degree.”

Before the ceremony, she was spotted walking alongside Felix, who also studies at the university.

The couple could also be seen sharing a meaningful hug as the student celebrated his royal girlfriend’s achievements.

It is believed the pair met at the university – which holds a special place in royal history, being the institution where the Prince and Princess of Wales also first met during their student days.

Lady Louise plans to take a gap year before determining her career path, with intentions to combine work, volunteering and travel.

Though not a working member of the Royal Family, she has shown notable interest in military matters through her involvement with the St Andrews University Officers’ Training Corps.

During university holidays, she gained practical experience at a Surrey garden centre and assisted at the Royal Windsor Horse Show.

Having maintained a low profile throughout her education, as is customary for royal children, the public can expect to see more of Lady Louise at official engagements alongside her parents and younger brother James, the Earl of Wessex.
