Krispy Kreme has issued an urgent product recall affecting two of its doughnut lines due to the potential presence of undeclared hazelnuts.
The popular American chain is withdrawing its Individual Pitch Perfect Doughnut and Match Day Dozen from sale after discovering the items may contain tree nuts not listed on packaging or at the point of purchase.
The recall presents a serious health concern for consumers with nut allergies, who could suffer adverse reactions if they unknowingly consume the affected products.
The Food Standards Agency has issued an allergy alert in response to the labelling failure, urging affected customers to avoid eating the doughnuts.

The affected products carry best-before dates of 21 and 22 June 2026, meaning some may still be in consumers’ possession today.
Only items sold through outlets supplied by Krispy Kreme’s Peterborough manufacturing facility are subject to the recall, with doughnuts from other company locations remaining unaffected.
In an official statement, the doughnut manufacturer confirmed: “We are recalling our limited-time Pitch Perfect Doughnut because it may contain hazelnuts (nuts) which are not declared on the package or at point of sale.”
The company added: “Affected products were sold in stores supplied from our Peterborough doughnut site.”
Customers who have purchased either product and suffer from a hazelnut allergy are strongly advised not to consume them under any circumstances.
Those affected may return the doughnuts to the store where they were originally bought and will receive a complete refund, regardless of whether they still have their receipt.
