Kris Jenner has expressed her gratitude to Meghan Markle after receiving a Mother’s Day package from the Duchess of Sussex’s lifestyle brand, As Ever.

The Kardashian-Jenner matriarch shared an image of the gifts on her Instagram story on Wednesday, writing: “Thank you @meghan @aseverofficial for the beautiful Mother’s Day gifts! These candles smell so delicious!! Happy Mother’s Day!!!”

The present included scented candles from Meghan’s collection alongside chocolates produced through As Ever’s partnership with Los Angeles-based chocolatier Compartes.

A handwritten card accompanied the items, adding a personal touch to the gesture from the former Suits actress.

The note from Meghan read in part: “Dear Kris, Happy Mother’s Day to the most maternal woman in the world.”

The candles sent to Ms Jenner feature fragrances inspired by the birthdays of Meghan and Prince Harry’s two children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet.

Ms Jenner’s public acknowledgement of the present on social media signals warmth between the pair following what became known as the “photogate” incident surrounding her milestone birthday celebration last year.

The James Bond-themed event, hosted at the Beverly Hills residence of Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sánchez, drew an impressive guest list including Oprah Winfrey, Mariah Carey, Tyler Perry, Vin Diesel, Mark Zuckerberg, Adele and Rich Paul.

Both Ms Jenner and her daughter, Kim Kardashian, initially shared photographs featuring the Duke and Duchess of Sussex on their social media accounts.

However, the images were subsequently removed, prompting widespread speculation online about a potential falling out between the famous families.

A source previously told People that Markle and Harry “arrived hand-in-hand and looked very happy” at the celebration, with the duchess “glowing in a black wrap-style dress” whilst the Duke wore “a tuxedo with a poppy for Remembrance Day.”

The couple faced criticism for attending the glamorous event on the eve of Remembrance Sunday.

Kim Kardashian addressed the matter on her sister Khloé’s podcast, stating: “It was really innocent, which is so crazy.

“Mum and Meghan have been friends for some years now, and they have a really sweet relationship.”

She explained the photographs were removed after the couple realised the timing coincided with Remembrance Day, adding: “So we took them down to respect Remembrance Day.”
