King Charles and Queen Camilla hosted the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet at Highgrove House on Friday afternoon, GB News can confirm.

Meghan, Archie and Lilibet did return to the UK after all, following intense speculation regarding their whereabouts.

Prince Harry hosted his One Year To Go event for the Invictus Games in Birmingham alone today, as Meghan and the couple’s two children were not photographed in public.

GB News understands that since this was a private occasion, no photographs will be released from the family reunion.

Archie and Lilibet’s return to the UK marks their first visit since 2022.

Four years ago, the youngsters accompanied the Duke and Duchess of Sussex to England for Queen Elizabeth II’s Platinum Jubilee.

Today’s reunion also marks the first time King Charles has physically seen his youngest grandchildren since that period.

While Archie was born in Portland Hospital in Westminster in 2019, Princess Lilibet was born in Santa Barbara, California two years later.

GETTY

This week has been a tough period for the Duke of Sussex, who found out on Tuesday, while on British soil, that he lost his legal battle against the publisher of the Daily Mail.

At the time the verdict was announced, the father-of-two was pictured at his first UK engagement of the week at Chatham House, appearing visibly shaken following the publicisation of the news.

Meghan, 44, pulled out of the Invictus Games one-year countdown event in Birmingham due to ongoing security concerns following a dispute over state-funded police protection.

The decision to cancel her scheduled public appearance stems from the ruling by the Royal and VIP Executive Committee (Ravec) that the Sussexes are no longer automatically entitled to UK police protection after stepping back as senior royals.

Because adequate security could not be guaranteed, she and her representatives decided she would not make any public appearances during the UK visit, leaving Prince Harry to attend the engagements solo.

The family’s reunion taking place at Highgrove House is symbolic, given it is where the King raised Prince William and Prince Harry as young boys.

It now serves as the private residence of King Charles and Queen Camilla, located southwest of Tetbury in Gloucestershire.

Earlier today, His Majesty was photographed visiting Harwell Campus in Oxfordshire, which is only an hour’s drive away from Highgrove.
