Kelly Osbourne has paid an emotional tribute to her father Ozzy on the first anniversary of his death, revealing that she “aches every single day” without him.

The 41-year-old shared a lengthy and heartfelt message on Instagram on Wednesday, telling her late father: “One year ago today, the world changed forever.”

She described the past twelve months without the Black Sabbath legend as “the hardest thing I have ever had to endure,” adding that she misses him “with every part of my soul.”

In her post, Ms Osbourne wrote: “Today, I sit here beside you in a way I never thought would be possible. I know you are still with me. I feel you in the quiet, in the wind, in every song that stops me in my tracks.”

Ms Osbourne reflected on the beautiful memories she shares with her father, writing: “Even through all the madness we lived through, you somehow made every moment worthwhile.”

She spoke of the unique depth of her bond with Ozzy, saying: “I have never loved anyone or anything as deeply as uniquely as I love you.

“And now I carry all of that love with nowhere to place it except within me, my son, and mumma.”

The television personality also expressed a wish that her father could witness her son Sidney growing up, noting that she catches glimpses of Ozzy in the boy daily.

“Your smile. Your spirit. Your mannerisms,” she wrote, describing these moments as “one of the greatest gifts I have ever been given.”

Prior to her anniversary tribute, Ms Osbourne had also shared a reflective post about what grief had taught her over the preceding year.

She wrote that losing her father had split her existence “into two people — the one you were before and the one left behind,” confessing that she mourns “the soul I was before death taught my heart its own name.”

She described grief as “a language no-one truly speaks until life forces it upon them,” adding: “You only understand its endless ache when you’ve stood in the unbearable silence, carrying a love that has nowhere left to go.”

Fans responded with an outpouring of support, with one commenter writing: “Thank you for putting that into words.”

Others shared their own experiences of parental loss, telling Osbourne that whilst the pain never fully subsides, it is possible to move forward.

Ozzy Osbourne passed away on July 22, 2025 from a reported heart attack at the age of 76.

His death came just over a fortnight after his Back To The Beginning farewell concert, where he reunited with his Black Sabbath bandmates.

The Birmingham-born musician had endured numerous health difficulties in his later years, including a Parkinson’s disease diagnosis and several operations following a fall in 2019.

His widow Sharon also marked the anniversary, telling BBC Radio West Midlands that fans should “remember how funny he was — funny and charismatic and real.” She added: “He never tried to be anything other than what he was.”

Billy Morrison, guitarist for Billy Idol and a close collaborator of Ozzy’s, posted a photograph of the pair on Instagram, writing: “I can’t believe it’s been a year. I miss you mate.”
