Keanu Reeves and his longtime love Alexandra Grant looked festive when they surfaced in Los Angeles on New Year’s Eve.
Alexandra, 51, and Keanu, 60, first became acquainted at a dinner party in 2009 and collaborated on two art books together before going red carpet official in 2019.
However in the intervening years they have tended to guard their privacy and rarely discussed details of their relationship in public.
When they were spotted this Tuesday, they both looked blissfully happy in one another’s company, both grinning broadly.
Her grey baseball cap featured salmon accents that elegantly complemented the hot pink background of the sweater he was wearing.
Adding an extra splash of seasonal cheer to his ensemble, Keanu wrapped up in a bright red scarf that brought back memories of Christmas last week.

He layered a thick grey blazer over his look, while Alexandra wore a lighter grey sleeveless top over a matching sweater.
Earlier this month, the couple were dressed to the nines as they hit the red carpet for the Los Angeles premiere of his new movie Sonic The Hedgehog 3.
Keanu features as the voice of the villain Shadow The Hedgehog, amid a cast that includes Ben Schwartz, Jim Carrey, Idris Elba, James Marsden and Krysten Ritter.
During the premiere, Keanu was asked whether he regarded the event as an example of a ‘date night’ for him and Alexandra.
‘I guess it is! Yeah, we got dolled up and it’s been very exciting, and just kind of nerve-wracking in the car, but getting out and it was just like – I don’t know, it’s just really special to be side by side,’ he told Entertainment Tonight.
Alexandra found herself at the business end of an internet frenzy when she went red carpet official with Keanu at the LACMA Art + Film Gala in early November 2019.
‘I think every single person I knew called me in the first week of November, and that’s fascinating,’ she told British Vogue a few months later.
When she was asked in 2020 about the prospect of marriage, she said: ‘Love at every level is deeply important to my identity. How’s that for dodging the question?’

She added: ‘I do not believe that isolation is the way. There is a period of isolation that I do as a painter, but I deeply value the experience of being in relationships.’
By the time they went red carpet official, they had been friends for around a decade and it had been reported that Keanu wanted the romance out in the open.
They first collaborated in 2011 on Keanu’s book Ode To Happiness, which she illustrated. The project marked her first book as an artist and his first as a writer.
They worked together again on the actor’s 2016 book Shadows, to which Alexandra once again contributed the artwork.
She is his first known girlfriend since Jennifer Syme, who died in a car accident in 2001 less than four months after delivering her and Keanu’s stillborn baby.

In 2010 a photograph surfaced of the Matrix star sitting glumly on a park bench, resulting in the wildly viral ‘Sad Keanu’ meme.
When the meme took off there was much speculation that his expression was connected to the shattering losses he had undergone in the past decade.
However in a 2021 interview on The Late Show With Stephen Colbert Keanu dished that he actually looked forlorn in the picture because he was feeling peckish.
‘Man, I’m eating a sandwich!’ the movie star said of the picture. ‘I was thinking. I had some stuff going on. I was hungry.’
