The family of Katie Price’s husband, Lee Andrews, has publicly distanced themselves from him, sharing a striking statement on Wednesday.
Mr Andrews’ sister, Kelly, and a childhood friend have said they felt compelled to speak out after new evidence came to light about the jailed businessman.
“Kelly Andrews and I just want to take a moment to speak the truth,” the statement, posted on social media by the school friend and seen by The Sun, read.
“Recent information shared has brought forward evidence that has left us both shocked.”

INSTAGRAM/LEE ANDREWSThey acknowledged the situation was deeply distressing for the family, adding: “The Lee we knew was never like this, which makes it even harder for us, as his sister and as a friend, to get our heads around everything that’s come to light.”
The pair also stressed they were willing to accept when they had been wrong, noting that proof had now emerged that could no longer be ignored.
Ms Price stunned those closest to her when she wed Mr Andrews in January, having known him for a matter of days before tying the knot.
Since the marriage, her husband has been imprisoned twice in Dubai on allegations of fraud.
Mr Andrews was first taken into custody in May and spent roughly a month in the notorious Al-Awir prison before being freed.
He was arrested again earlier this month and remains behind bars, though reports indicated he had been moved between prison blocks during his detention.
His father, Peter Andrews, was also swept up in the legal turmoil after being reported to Dubai authorities by a third party.
Peter faced similar fraud allegations and was held at the same facility, though he has since been released. Ms Price is understood to have spoken with her father-in-law following his release from custody.

INSTAGRAM/LEE ANDREWSThe controversy surrounding Mr Andrews deepened further after it was reported that he had attempted to sell what he claimed was a private intimate video of himself and Ms Price.
In a voice recording obtained by The Sun, Mr Andrews told a friend he needed money urgently and suggested the footage could fetch “a quarter of a million f****** quid.”
Mr Andrews is alleged to have approached Vivid Entertainment, the company behind the release of celebrity videos involving Kim Kardashian and Pamela Anderson, as far back as March.
When warned that distributing such material without his wife’s consent would be a criminal offence, he swiftly reversed course, insisting: “I was not serious on that mate, we have OnlyFans we will do our thing on this.”

PAMs Price subsequently denied that any such recording existed.
Amid the mounting chaos, friends are reportedly encouraging Ms Price to take decisive action and end her marriage to Andrews.
The former glamour model is said to be concentrating on her professional obligations in the UK rather than dwelling on her husband’s legal predicament.
A source told The Sun: “She’s focusing on her life and job commitments in the UK at the moment and just putting her best foot forward.”
Ms Price has also been filming with her children, appearing in the forthcoming third series of daughter Princess Andre’s reality show, The Princess Diaries.
During filming in April, she revealed she had undergone another breast enlargement, believed to be her 18th, much to the horror of son Junior, who screamed “no, no, no” upon hearing the news.
