Lee Andrews, the husband of Katie Price, has demanded that Good Morning Britain presenter Susanna Reid be dismissed from her role following her on-air reaction to reports about his detention in Dubai.

The Dubai-based businessman expressed his anger after Ms Reid visibly rolled her eyes during Thursday’s edition of the ITV breakfast programme while his claims of being held on espionage suspicions were being discussed.

Mr Andrews took to Instagram to address the incident, saying: “She should lose her job for that.”

The presenter’s eye-roll came in response to Mr Andrews’ account of his arrest, which he shared publicly for the first time since his detention.

During Thursday’s episode of the programme, entertainment correspondent Richard Arnold delivered an update on the ongoing saga surrounding the entrepreneur’s mysterious arrest in the Gulf state last month.

Mr Arnold reported that Mr Andrews had broken his social media silence since being detained, making a series of dramatic claims about his capture.

According to Mr Andrews’ account, he was “taken by the Qatar border by the men, at gunpoint, and was captured by men with assault rifles”, “slapped around a little bit” and “accused of espionage”.

Ms Reid’s response to hearing these claims was blunt: “I think my eyes just rolled out of my head.”

In his Instagram response, the businessman accused Ms Reid of passing judgement without any supporting evidence and claimed she had labelled him a conman.

“She can be as forthcoming as she likes, but to judge me without any evidence and calling me a conman, that’s ridiculous,” he said.

However, Ms Reid did not actually describe Mr Andrews as a “conman” during the broadcast.

Mr Andrews further criticised the presenter, saying: “You’re prejudiced towards me without any solid evidence other than an ex coming forward with a story, and that’s all it is.

“If you’re an investigative journalist, then surely you should know that.”

He indicated he plans to address the matter properly when he appears on the programme alongside Price.

Mr Andrews has maintained that he was “suspected of espionage and held in a state security building without the use of a telephone or any rights to a shower, contact or to speak to any of my family, including the embassy or my wife”.

He has denied any involvement in allegations of fraud or criminal activities, although reports have emerged suggesting that his detention relates to a private civil matter rather than espionage.

The businessman credited Price’s intervention with UK authorities for securing his release from Al Awir prison.

The couple married in January this year, just days after their first meeting.

Since then, Andrews has faced scrutiny over various claims, including falsely stating he held a PhD from Cambridge and posting AI-generated images of himself with Kim Kardashian.
