Former England bowler Katherine Sciver-Brunt has been appointed as assistant coach of Trent Rockets Women for the 2026 edition of The Hundred.

Sciver-Brunt is England Women’s second-highest wicket-taker across all formats, claiming 335 scalps in 267 appearances, and played for Trent Rockets in the first three editions of The Hundred, making 19 appearances.

The 41-year-old retired in 2023 and transitioned into working as a co-commentator and analyst, with this her first coaching role in her post-playing career.

“The time has come for me to step back into a role within cricket. I’ve had a wild three years since retiring, trying to figure out what life looks like for me now as a mum,” said Sciver-Brunt, who has a one-year-old son with her wife and fellow cricketer Nat Sciver-Brunt.

“The first place I thought of was Trent Rockets. Trent Bridge is such a special place and having been involved as a player with the Rockets before, coming back as a coach was an opportunity I couldn’t turn down.

“I’m moving into a new era, and I know coaching and mentoring players of this standard will be something I’ll love.”

Former Nottinghamshire spinner Graeme White is also joining Chris Read’s coaching staff in the role of fielding coach, while former South Africa white-ball bowling coach Anton Roux has been appointed as assistant to Peter Moores for Trent Rockets Men.
