Princess Kate had a candid chat with Eugene Levy at the Together At Christmas Carol Service as the pair reflected on the actor’s “lovely day” with Prince William.

The Canadian recently interviewed the Prince of Wales for his travel series, The Reluctant Traveller.

In the show, the Prince of Wales and Mr Levy had a conversation while enjoying a pint at the Two Brewers in Windsor.

The Hollywood actor finally got the opportunity to meet Princess Kate and explained how her husband “looked after” him.

The Princess of Wales replied: “You know my husband very well now,” to which the actor stated: “I had a lovely day with your husband.”

“I hope he looked after you,” Kate continued, as the actor responded: “He did look after me, yes, he did.”

The princess added: “And you got to meet our dog.”

The Canadian actor said: “I’m a bit of a dog whisperer myself, and the cookies helped.”

He continued: “Did he have a fun day, though?”

The Princess of Wales assured him that “he did” have a great day.

Mr Levy concluded: “It was a memorable day, that’s for sure.”

The Princess of Wales was joined by Prince William, Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis at Westminster Abbey for the service.

Kate has spearheaded this year’s event, which The Royal Foundation backs.

This year’s service centred on celebrating love across its many forms, including friendships, community spirit and acts of kindness.

Some 1,600 guests attended the event, journeying from all areas of the United Kingdom.

Individuals arriving at the Abbey were greeted by music from eight musicians aged 13 to 18, performing as a specially assembled brass ensemble.

These young players come from Future Talent, a charity established by the late Duchess of Kent to provide opportunities for musically gifted children from low-income households.

Readings exploring themes of love, compassion and connection formed a central part of the proceedings.

The service will be broadcast on ITV1 and ITVX on Christmas Eve as part of Royal Carols: Together At Christmas, with a repeat airing on Christmas Day morning.
