John Goodman cut a strikingly slim figure alongside his wife Anna Beth as the pair walked the red carpet at the Los Angeles premiere of his latest film, Digger, on Monday evening.
The 74-year-old actor, who has shed more than 14 stone after overcoming a decades-long struggle with alcohol, looked sharp in a navy suit paired with a striped shirt and tie.
Anna Beth, 57, complemented him in a flowing maroon dress with matching slingback heels.
The couple, who have been married for 36 years, appeared visibly affectionate as they posed together for photographers.

Devotees of the beloved 1990s sitcom Roseanne would be hard-pressed to identify the star, whose transformation remains one of Hollywood’s most dramatic physical overhauls.
Digger is helmed by Alejandro González Iñárritu, the Academy Award-winning director whose dramatic transformation has unfolded over more than a decade.
The dark satirical comedy-drama stars Tom Cruise as Digger Rockwell, a fabulously rich and deeply eccentric oil tycoon whose activities have contributed to a devastating environmental catastrophe.
Rockwell subsequently embarks on a mission to persuade the global public that he alone possesses the ability to rescue mankind.

Mr Goodman takes on the role of President Compson, the commander-in-chief who serves as a political foil to Mr Cruise’s outlandish protagonist.
The actor stars alongside Mr Cruise in the film, which uses satire to explore power and ambition.
Mr Goodman first became a household name through his portrayal of Dan Conner, the warm-hearted family patriarch in the American sitcom Roseanne, opposite Roseanne Barr in the title role.
His larger frame was a defining characteristic of the part, frequently referenced in the show’s humour and woven into storylines throughout its run.

The actor has since disclosed that at his peak weight he tipped the scales at 28.5 stone.
His endearing and nuanced performance as Conner cemented his status as one of America’s most beloved character actors.
Mr Goodman entered rehabilitation in 2007, bringing to a close thirty years of alcohol dependency, a period during which he admitted to drinking even while working on set.
“It was 30 years of a disease that was taking its toll on everyone around me and it had got to the point where, every time I did it, it was becoming more and more debilitating. It was life or death,” the actor revealed five years after getting sober.

The decision to quit drinking proved to be the catalyst for his extraordinary physical transformation, which would ultimately see him lose in excess of 14 stone by 2023.
His sobriety marked a major turning point after he acknowledged that his drinking had taken a toll on those around him.
By 2010, Mr Goodman had already dropped 100 pounds after eliminating sugar from his diet and beginning an intensive exercise regime with Mackie Shilstone, the personal trainer best known for his work with Serena Williams, according to People Magazine.

Mr Shilstone put the actor on a Mediterranean-style dietary programme and had him walking between 10,000 and 12,000 steps daily using a treadmill and elliptical machine, training six days a week.
Mr Goodman credited “portion control” as the key to his slimmer physique, telling AARP magazine it represented a stark change from his former habit of “just shoving everything into my mouth”.
Being overweight, he reflected, had been “a waste”.
The actor remains busy professionally, with forthcoming projects including The Hollywood Hitman, in which he portrays himself, and the horror film Skeletons alongside Brie Larson.
