Emily Clarkson shared a touching black and white photograph embracing her father, Jeremy, on Father’s Day, publicly backing his campaign for prostate cancer awareness after the former Top Gear star recently shared his diagnosis.

The writer posted the image on social media, showing the pair holding drinks at what appears to be a formal event, while tagging the charity Prostate Cancer UK alongside her father’s account.

Accompanying the photograph was a quote from the 66-year-old television presenter’s recent newspaper interview, which read: “This is why I have to say to everybody who’s reading this, please, please, please go and get checked.

“It’s not uncomfortable, it’s not undignified. And it’s a no-brainer. I did, and that’s why I’m sitting here talking to you.”

The post prompted an outpouring of supportive messages from followers.

The former Top Gear host received his diagnosis in May 2025, learning he had an aggressive form of the disease that had been caught early.

During the fifth series of his Amazon Prime Video programme, viewers watched as he underwent treatment for a malignant tumour, including an operation in August of that year.

The series concluded with dramatic scenes showing Mr Clarkson in a hospital bed, where he addressed the audience directly, stating: “If this is all successful, I’ll see you for season six, and if it isn’t, I won’t. Take care, everyone.”

A follow-up Prostate-Specific Antigen test approximately two months ago revealed no trace of the disease, confirming he is now officially in remission.

The presenter still requires ongoing blood tests and monitoring, but remains optimistic about his recovery.

Speaking to The Times, Mr Clarkson described himself as “without a doubt, officially, the world’s luckiest man,” given how the situation could have unfolded.

“It was an aggressive type of cancer. It could have spread, it could have gone into the pancreas, it could have gone anywhere, and that would have been trouble,” he explained.

The presenter has emphasised that early detection through testing proved crucial to his successful treatment.

In a separate Instagram video, he addressed viewers directly: “The more observant among you will notice that I’m not dead… And I’m not just not dead, I’m perfectly fine.”

He urged men to request a PSA test from their GP, noting it is simply a blood test, and suggested those without symptoms should insist on being checked regardless.

Amazon Prime Video has confirmed that the sixth series of Clarkson’s Farm is now in production, with filming already underway at Diddly Squat Farm near Chipping Norton.

In a video announcement, the presenter said: “So, a bit of a year. But I am delighted to tell you that season six of Clarkson’s Farm is currently being filmed.

“It’s in production. And that’s particularly good news for me because, well, if you know, you know, and if you don’t know, you need to watch season five.”

Last week, Mr Clarkson was spotted with the Amazon camera crew while hosting the UK arable trade show Cereals at his Oxfordshire farm.

The event drew a record-breaking attendance of more than 25,000 visitors, with the presenter joined by regular cast members Kaleb Cooper, Charlie Ireland and his girlfriend Lisa Hogan.

The new series is expected to air in 2027.
