Vicky Myers marked a major birthday milestone on Thursday and was left overwhelmed by the outpouring of support from fans.
The actress, who plays DS Lisa Swain on the ITV soap, took to X to express her gratitude as she celebrated her 50th birthday.
She wrote: “I am speechless! ‘Thank you’ doesn’t seem quite right, or enough, but that’s all I have right now. I’m overwhelmed with gratitude and my heart is full. THANK YOU.”
Ms Myers also promised to give proper attention to the tributes she had received, adding: “All of your lovely messages will be read and gifts opened this weekend when I have the time to give them the attention and respect they deserve.”

She concluded: “Thank you so very much. Much love.”
The birthday wishes continued to pour in following her heartfelt post, with supporters calling her “Queen Victoria” and thanking her simply for existing.
However, it was the revelation of Ms Myers’ age that truly caught fans off guard, with many struggling to believe the actress had reached the half-century mark.
Born on February 5, 1976, the Coronation Street star seems to have defied expectations about ageing.

One admirer wrote on Facebook: “Happy 50th birthday. You do not look like you are 50.”
Others echoed similar sentiments, with comments including “She does not look 50 at all”. Another declared that “there is no way she is 50”.
Several fans gushed that she “looks incredible,” while another added: “She does not look 50 at all! Love DS Swain.”
Ms Myers first stepped onto the cobbles as DS Lisa Swain back in 2021, when her character was brought in to lead the investigation into the devastating hate crime attack on Nina Lucas and her partner Seb Franklin.

The brutal assault resulted in Seb’s tragic death. Following that initial appearance, the detective sergeant featured in numerous other cases on the programme.
It wasn’t until early 2024, however, that Ms Myers was elevated to regular cast member status.
Since then, Lisa Swain has become a permanent fixture in Weatherfield, with her character embarking on a romantic relationship with Carla Connor.
On screen, the detective is currently enjoying a more settled period after a difficult start to 2025, having parted ways with her toxic ex Becky.
Yet Thursday’s milestone wasn’t Ms Myers’ first connection to the long-running soap.
The actress actually made her Coronation Street debut way back in 1998, appearing in a walk-on part as a nurse.
During that brief cameo, she worked alongside Denise Welch, who played Natalie Horrocks, and Philip Middlemiss while filming the death scenes of Des Barnes.
Ms Myers would return to the programme years later in another small role, this time portraying a driver who came to the aid of Tyrone and Molly Dobbs following a car accident in the hills.

These early appearances gave little indication that the actress would eventually become one of the soap’s beloved regular performers, with her portrayal of DS Swain now firmly established as a fan favourite.
The theme of female ageing is one Ms Myers has explored through her work.
In the 2018 drama Age Before Beauty, which examined ageing and the beauty industry, she played Heidi, a woman who turned to heavy makeup and cosmetic treatments in an effort to feel confident and accepted following heartbreak.
She has also spoken candidly about starting over later in life, having faced both a cancer diagnosis and a divorce in her 30s before landing her career-defining role as DS Lisa Swain on Coronation Street in her 40s.
