A young Aussie nurse said her ‘soul left her body’ after she was given the ‘world’s worst’ haircut during a horror experience in a country town.
Bell shared the choppy and uneven bob she got at a popular chain hairdresser in a small town six months ago in a TikTok video posted last week.
She explained she had recently moved to the town with her boyfriend and didn’t trust anyone to share the details of the best local hairdresser.
She decided to get her hair cut at a popular hairdressing chain known for its walk-in appointments and cheaper prices.
Bell told the stylist she wanted a cut but hated the look of layers. She also asked them to use thinning scissors or cut a shorter layer close to her neck, out of view.
‘If anyone thinks that they’ve had the world’s worst haircut, I just wanna say they haven’t, they’re wrong. It was actually me,’ she said.
‘Obviously, I am aware that the hairdresser I chose my fault – that’s my bad,’ she said.
‘The description I gave probably my bad, but still. There is two parts of this haircut that is bad – one, it wasn’t what I asked for. Two, it’s actually a really bad haircut.’
Bell said she went into ‘flight mode’ after the hairdresser unveiled the messy bob (pictured)
Bell was left with several choppy layers on the back of her head with some so short they rubbed against her ears.
Meanwhile, the front of the hairdo looked no better with both sides cut at different lengths and significantly shorter than the back.
When the stylist unveiled the finished product, Bell said she went into ‘flight mode’ and couldn’t bring herself to ask them to fix it.
‘The back was really how I noticed how bad it was for the first time, she showed me the mirror and I instantly felt my soul leave my body and my brain hit my butt. I was like, “I love it”… I had no guts whatsoever,’ she said.
The only way Bell was able to ‘fix’ her hair was by wearing the top half of it up and the rest down until it grew out three months later.
Aussies were left shocked by the finished result.
‘I promise you it’s worse than what I was expecting,’ one wrote.
‘The way my jaw dropped,’ another said.
‘I was like “it can’t be that bad”. I was wrong. It is that bad. I snorted. I’m so sorry.’
‘As a hairdresser, I completely understood your explanation for what you wanted. I cannot even fathom what she was thinking,’ a fourth wrote.
