Irish Cup: Five Irish Cup fifth round matches postponed

Irish Cup: Five Irish Cup fifth round matches postponed

Five of Saturday’s Irish Cup fifth round matches have been postponed due to frozen pitches.

Strabane Athletic v Glentoran, Glenavon v Newington and the all-Premiership tie between Ballymena United and Larne have been postponed.

Lisburn Distillery v Warrenpoint Town and Ballinamallard United v Institute have also been called off following a pitch inspection.

The game between Comber Rec and Ballymacash Rangers has been switched to the Bluebell Stadium, Lisburn.

Limavady United v Lisburn Rangers, Knockbreda v Loughgall and Armagh City v Drumaness Mills are all set to go ahead as planned following a pitch inspection.

The Strabane v Glentoran game has been rearranged to Tuesday, 20 January (19:45 GMT) at the Oval with no rearranged dates for the other game announced yet.

Carrick Rangers v Queen’s University and Portadown v Annagh United are still subject to pitch inspections.
