British Iranians feel “disappointed” by Labour’s reaction to US-Israeli strikes on Tehran, a demonstrator marching on Whitehall told GB News.
This afternoon, hundreds of protesters descended on central London to protest against the Iranian regime and to stand with the Iranian people following the US-Israeli “pre-emptive” strikes on Tehran.
The demonstrators marched from the Ministry of Defence all the way to the Iranian Embassy, just hours after the Islamic regime started to launch retaliatory strikes across the Middle East.
Speaking to GB News, Anahit Hosseini lauded the joint American and Israeli strikes on the Iranian “apparatus of oppression”.
She told National Reporter Will Godley: “It’s more important than ever Iranian British citizens to show their solidarity and support for Iranians who are fighting for freedom and democracy.”
Pro-democracy activists flooded the route through central London demanding the end of the Iranian regime, with many brandishing the flag of the pre-Islamic regime.
The flag features a green, white and red tricolour with a gold lion and sun, while others waved an Israeli flag or an American flag.
Backing the US-Israeli strikes, Ms Hosseini explained she hoped it would “weaken the Ayatollah”.

Sir Keir Starmer confirmed Britain “played no role” in the strike action – which has “disappointed” British Iranians, she added.
She told Will Godley: “From the perspective of a lot of British Iranian citizens, they have been very disappointed with how the UK Government has reacted to this.
“Especially the Labour Party has been largely silent about it. And basically, this IRGC terror around the world is not something that’s specific to Iran.
“They have done terror elsewhere in the world, but the UK Government is refusing to even proscribe the IRGC, even though its acts of terror are well known and documented.

“What we see is a lot of disappointment on the UK Government. We hope that when they see the actions of Iranians and we will not stop being the voice of the Iranians, they will take action.”
She called for the proscription of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), echoing similar cries for the Government to outlaw the organisation.
“I don’t feel safe at all,” she said.
The IRGC has been classified as a terrorist organisation by the US, Canada and the European Union, which proscribed the group in January.
But Sir Keir Starmer has not proscribed the militia group – despite Iranian forces clamping down on pro-democracy protesters across the cities.
Last month, a US Government spokesman called on Britain to “add pressure on Iran” during the largest protests against the regime in six years.
Alongside Tory and Reform politicians, top Labour figures urged the PM to proscribe Tehran’s “terror army” in solidarity with the protesters.
