A primary school teacher who won a luxury £4million mansion thought she was being pranked when she was told of her mega win.
Hannah Drury, 42, was left ‘speechless’ when she discovered she had scooped the riverside bolthole in the Lake District.
The married mother-of-three bagged the secluded waterside sanctuary at Coniston Water as part of the Omaze Million Pound House Draw.
And she also netted herself £250,000 in cash to help her and her family to settle into their new country pile.
But when opera-singer Hannah was first told about the windfall, she was convinced it was a ‘wind-up’ from one of her mates.
She said: ‘I got a random call on Friday night saying I’d won something from Omaze, at first I just assumed it was a friend winding us up, then when I didn’t recognise the voice I thought that maybe we’d scoop a little bit of cash or something.
‘But all of a sudden, Omaze turned up to reveal I’d won a £4million mansion.
‘I was speechless, and that never happens. My husband was flabbergasted as he didn’t even know I’d entered.’

After realising the win was real, Hannah immediately broke her ‘dry January’ pledge by cracking open a bottle of champagne to celebrate.
The breathtaking property, which was redeveloped and redesigned by Omaze, comes mortgage-free and with all legal fees covered.
She can choose to live in the house, rent it out for extra income or sell it to become a cash multi-millionaire. If she decides to keep the property, it’s estimated the £250,000 she also won would cover the running costs for over 10 years.
If she decides to rent it out, local estate agents reckon the mansion could fetch a long-term rental value of £4,000 per month.
Hannah, who purchased her winning entry for just £25 as part of an Omaze subscription she’d only recently signed up for in late December, has been a music teacher for two decades and currently teaches at a local primary school.
Hannah is also a trained operatic soprano, who has sung lead roles in over 25 operas nationwide, celebrated by cracking open a bottle of bubbly with her husband Richard, 49 – who is also a music teacher at a local secondary school.
Describing her win, an elated Hannah said: ‘I had planned to do Dry Jan this year, but that went out the window immediately. I lasted all of three days, but if you can’t have a drink when you’ve won a £4million house when can you!?
‘We opened a bottle we’d been saving for a special occasion, but it had actually gone off and tasted like vinegar! Luckily we had a backup so popped that instead.

‘Our daughter came downstairs the morning after and said she’d dreamt someone had given us a big house, we told her that on this occasion her dream had come true.
‘We’ve barely slept, we had butterflies all weekend. Keeping the news a secret from our friends has been tricky, especially when you have three very chatty children.’
Hannah’s dreamy new home features an upside-down design, with snug bedrooms and bathrooms on the ground floor, while upstairs boasts a huge open-plan living space, with a luxury kitchen, dining room and massive lounge.
And the breathtaking new pad also offers spectacular views of Coniston Water, the third largest lake in the Lake District, and the surrounding mountains and the untamed beauty of Grizedale Forest.
Hannah’s new country retreat also features its own chunk of Coniston Water, with a 200m stretch of lake frontage and a private wood-pannelled jetty. Plus it has six acres of wild woodland.
