A woman who was bullied over her severe acne has become a beauty influencer and a skincare expert.
Courtney Jones, from Killamarsh, Sheffield, struggled with acne since she was a teen, but after years of enduring painful blemishes, she has soared to internet stardom by documenting her skincare journey.
The 21-year-old content creator, who boasts one million followers on her TikTok @courtneyjones5252 now gives advice to her fans and recommends skin care products.
Courtney developed cystic acne at the age of 15 and felt so depressed that sometimes she didn’t want to leave the house.
The influencer tried countless products to clear her skin however nothing appeared to work before she was finally prescribed Accutane.

Accutane is a medication primarily used to treat severe acne, it is also used to prevent certain skin cancers, and in the treatment of other cancers.
Alongside medication, she also revealed in another TikTok that she has a number of other products that she swears by.
Some of these include Cerave’s £13 Blemish Control Cleanser and Moisturising Lotion for £11.50, Acnecide’s £9.99 5% Gel Benzoyl Peroxide and Skin Proud’s £16.95 Serious Shade SPF50+ sun cream.
In one of her candid video, Courtney shared how others suffering with spots can wear makeup without triggering a breakout.
‘When you’ve got spots and you want to wear make-up, all you’ve got to do is make sure you have the right makeup for you, there’s all different kinds of make-up out there.
‘Some of them might make your spots worse because that’s not the one for you – you’ve got to make sure you find the right products for you.

‘And at the end of the day, make sure you take it off properly because if there’s still make-up on that you’ve not washed off properly, that might cause you to get more spots.
‘So yeah, I will keep on wearing makeup.
‘I don’t wear makeup everyday but I will keep putting it on because I have actually found the right ones for me and they won’t break me out.’
