No matter how relentless your efforts in the gym, changing the appearance of stocky thighs to a more slender look can feel like an insurmountable challenge.

But the secret is almost always a combination of exercises and a healthy diet, revealed Monet Zamora, flaunting her impressive results in a TikTok clip.

While there is no such thing as spot fat reduction, building a routine with the right fitness components can support overall fat loss and slim down the thighs.

The right approach generally calls for cardio and strength training to tone and define the muscles, along with a balanced diet to reduce body fat.

Monet recommends a varied exercise regimen for toned legs

Although genetics and body composition play a significant role in shape and fat storage, consistency with exercise, coupled with healthy fat intake, can also help.

Sharing her results in a video titled “Five ways I slimmed down my thighs from this to this,” Monet told viewers how she’d previously dreaded summer and avoided wearing shorts or bikinis.

“What you eat is 80 per cent of the progress you will see,” she told her followers. “I cut out high-calorie, low-nutrient foods and prioritised high-protein, whole foods.”

Exercise played an equally vital role in Monet’s transformation, starting with gentle walks lasting roughly half an hour.

She complemented her cardio routine with weight training sessions a couple of times a week, lifting moderate weights rather than pushing for maximum heaviness.

“I lift two to three times a week, I don’t lift super heavy, but just enough,” she explained.

Pilates also became a game-changer in her fitness routine, with the influencer noting that it had a significant impact on her body shape.

“Once I started incorporating pilates, I saw all the difference,” she shared. “I can help tone and lengthen the muscles in the hips, leading to a more streamlined look.”

Beyond finding the right exercise programme, Monet recognised that her eating patterns also needed attention.

Consistency is key, according to Monet

She claims she fixed her relationship with food by spelling an end to binge eating and instead listening to her hunger cues.

She continued: “I have always been insecure about my thighs, I used to dream of summers and wearing bikinis or shorts, I always tried to hide my body! Changing my lifestyle has helped transform my body.”

While spot reduction isn’t possible, Monet’s success shows that a holistic approach combining nutrition and varied exercise can create the desired changes.

It also underscores that consistency is always the way to achieve a dream body, offering hope to those who try quick fixes without success.
