Royal fans have complained they are unable to understand Meghan Markle’s calligraphy in As Ever’s latest Instagram post.

The Duchess of Sussex is a self-confessed expert in calligraphy, learning the skill during her handwriting classes at her Catholic school.

She eventually taught calligraphy between 2004 and 2005 as a second job to take up while acting.

Meghan’s lifestyle brand, As Ever, took to Instagram with an outdoors photograph showing greenery, superimposed by beautiful white calligraphy.

It read: “Let me tell you ’bout the birds and the bees and the flowers and the trees and the moon above.”

In the caption, Meghan finished off the lyrics from the 1965 song by Jewel Akens, writing: “…and a little thing called love”.

However, social media users were left confused, with some admitting they struggled to understand the font.

Writing on X, they confessed they were left dumbfounded by the latest As Ever post.

One said: “I can’t even read her fauxligraphy”, while another blasted the Duchess’s “penmanship”, calling it “atrocious As Ever” in a tongue-in-cheek jibe.

Another complained that the “tails” on the letters made it confusing to comprehend.

Meanwhile, some fans loved her calligraphy, with one posting: “Meghan always had beautiful handwriting. Let’s not forget she knows calligraphy.”

Someone else commented: “Meghan Sussex inspiring me to dig out my old calligraphy books and try again.”

Elsewhere, over the weekend, Meghan gave fans a rare glimpse inside the £11million mansion she shares with Prince Harry and their two children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, in California.

The Duchess took to her Instagram account on Friday to show off what appeared to be her cosy living room in her Montecito home.

Sharing a clip on social media with her 4.2 million followers, the mother-of-two displayed an elegant floral arrangement and her beagle, Mia, sleeping on a stunning cream armchair and matching cushioned footstool.

The flowers were placed in a white stone vase, embellished with the As Ever logo.

However, it was reported by People that the product is a bespoke piece, created for the set of the Duchess of Sussex’s Netflix show “With Love, Meghan”, with no plans for an official homeware collection to be released.
