Humza Yousaf has cancelled a speech he was due to deliver later today on independence in Glasgow.
Scotland’s First Minister will “come out fighting” according to sources, after the Greens said that they will give Yousaf a vote of no-confidence.
Yousaf announced last week his plans to step away from his party’s coalition with the Greens, after a dispute over climate policies.
The Bute House Agreement was dropped following an emergency Cabinet meeting at Bute House in Edinburgh yesterday morning.
The deal, which was signed in 2021 and is named after the official residence of the Scottish First Minister in Edinburgh, brought the Green Party into government for the first time anywhere in the UK.
