Chancellor John Healey has delivered his first Budget, setting out a series of tax and spending changes that could affect households across Britain.

After weeks of speculation, millions of people will now be asking one question: will the Budget leave me better or worse off?

GB News has teamed up with Blick Rothenberg to bring readers a free Budget 2026 calculator.

Simply enter the relevant information into the tool below to find out how the Chancellor’s announcements could affect you and whether you may be better or worse off.

The Budget included a £100 energy payment for eligible households in council tax bands A to D, alongside longer-term changes to the way energy bills are calculated.

Savers will continue to be able to place up to £20,000 a year into a Cash ISA after the Chancellor abandoned the planned reduction in the allowance.

However, tax rates on savings interest held outside tax-free accounts will rise from April 2027.

Changes to wages and pensions could also affect household finances.

The full new State Pension will rise by 3.9 per cent from April 2027, while a new allowance will protect some lower-income pensioners from paying tax because of the increase.

The Chancellor also confirmed longer-term reforms to the triple lock from 2030.

The National Living Wage will increase, while higher earnings may result in larger workplace pension contributions for eligible employees.

The Government has also maintained frozen income tax thresholds, meaning some workers could be pushed into higher tax bands as their wages increase.

This effect, commonly known as fiscal drag, can leave people paying a greater share of their income in tax even when the headline rates remain unchanged.

The calculator provides an estimate based on the information entered and the measures announced in the Budget.

Your actual position may differ depending on your complete financial circumstances and how the policies are implemented.

The results should therefore be treated as a guide and not as personal tax or financial advice.

Anyone making significant financial decisions should consider seeking advice from a suitably qualified professional.
