Off the rails: Hornby said sales over the first three months of the year were 8% lower than the same quarter a year ago
Hornby warned yesterday that some deliveries have been delayed as a result of shipping attacks in the Red Sea.
The Margate-based model train maker said this had contributed towards a fall in sales in recent months.
Sales over the first three months of the year were 8 per cent lower than the same quarter a year ago, the business revealed.
This decline was partly driven by delays to deliveries via the Red Sea.
The attacks there are being carried out by Iran-backed Houthi rebels, who support Hamas in the terror group’s war with Israel.
