Call The Midwife actress Helen George has parted ways with her partner Dan Innes, just seven months after the property marketing agency boss moved into her West London residence.

The 42-year-old star, best known for portraying Trixie Franklin in the BBC period drama, began seeing the 52-year-old businessman in March 2025, with Mr Innes relocating to the home she shares with her two children earlier this year.

A source told The Sun: “Helen and Dan have gone their separate ways. They had a whirlwind romance but their differences became apparent. It has been a difficult time for them both.”

Mr Innes has since removed his Instagram account.

Ms George has taken to social media in recent days, sharing a series of pointed messages that appear to reference the breakdown of her relationship.

One repost on her Instagram Story declared: “I absolutely take responsibility for when I am wrong. But I will never apologise for responding to disrespect.

“If you lit the match, do not stand in the flames pretending to be the victim.”

The actress also shared an image of her daughter walking through a field, captioned: “When the chaos leaves, the calm resumes.”

A third post read: “I don’t want my daughter to be like me. I want her to speak up sooner. Walk away faster. Trust herself deeper. Apologise less. Take up more space. Ask bigger questions. Dream louder.”

Ms George and Mr Innes are understood to have connected through the celebrity dating app Raya in early 2025.

The pair documented their romance publicly, sharing photographs together on Valentine’s Day from a bed overlooking scenic views during a trip to Cornwall, as well as snaps from The Waterman Arms pub in Barnes, south west London.

Mr Innes accompanied the actress to several high-profile occasions, including a Call The Midwife screening in March and the Radio Times party in January.

Photographs emerged this week showing the divorced father-of-two, who has children aged 14 and 12 from a previous marriage, removing his possessions from Ms George’s property while the actress walked her dog nearby.

The split marks Ms George’s second high-profile relationship breakdown in recent years, following her separation from Call The Midwife co-star Jack Ashton in 2023 after seven years together.

The former couple, who met whilst filming the BBC drama’s 2016 Christmas special in South Africa, share daughters Wren Ivy, eight, and Lark, four.

Despite their separation, Ms George has spoken warmly of her ex-partner’s role in their children’s lives.

Speaking to BBC Radio 4, she said: “I would like to also shout out to the father of my daughters, Jack. We split the children 50/50, he is an incredible and reliable father who also juggles as much as I!”

Ms George was previously married to actor Oliver Boot from 2011 to 2015.
