Prince William presented royal honours to celebrated actor Warwick Davis and England defender Alex Greenwood during an investiture ceremony held at Windsor Castle this afternoon.

Harry Potter and Star Wars legend, Davis, aged 56, received an OBE for his contributions to drama and charitable work, while Greenwood, 32, was awarded an MBE recognising her services to football.

The ceremony saw William acknowledge two distinguished figures from vastly different fields.

Davis is a beloved screen presence known for iconic fantasy roles, while Greenwood was a key member of the triumphant Lionesses squad.

Both recipients were named in the New Year Honours list for their respective achievements.

Davis, who was born with spondyloepiphyseal dysplasia congenita, a rare form of dwarfism, has long championed awareness and support for others with the condition.

Together with his late wife Samantha, he established the charity Little People UK in 2012 to assist individuals with dwarfism and their families.

His screen career spans decades, with memorable performances including Professor Flitwick and the goblin Griphook in the Harry Potter films, alongside appearances in Star Wars and the travel series An Idiot Abroad with Karl Pilkington.

Bafta recognised Warwick Davis performing and advocacy work with its highest accolade in 2025.

Last year, Bafta recognised his performing and advocacy work with its highest accolade, the Fellowship.

Davis has confirmed he will reprise his Flitwick role in the forthcoming Harry Potter television reboot.

The Manchester City defender played a crucial role when the Lionesses claimed European Championship glory on home turf in 2022, and again when they successfully defended their title at Euro 2025 in Switzerland.

Ahead of the current campaign, she was appointed captain at Manchester City, where she has guided the side to the summit of the Women’s Super League standings.

Her honour recognises a career that has seen her become one of English football’s most decorated players.
