Halle Bailey has slammed her ex-boyfriend DDG for allowing their 11-month-old son Halo to appear on a livestream viewed by ‘millions’ without her permission.
The singer, 24 — who split from the rapper, 27, last month — voiced her disapproval in a now-deleted message published to X (formerly Twitter) on Wednesday night.
Hours earlier, DDG — real name Darryl Dwayne Granberry Jr. — had appeared on YouTube star Kai Cenat’s Twitch livestream, where he showed off baby Halo to Cenat’s 13.8million followers.
‘hi everyone. just so you know i am out of town and i don’t approve of my baby being on a stream tonight,’ Bailey began.
She went on to claim that DDG never informed her that their son would be joining him on Cenat’s wildly popular stream.

‘i wasn’t told or notified and i am extremely upset to have my baby in front of millions of people.
‘i am his mother and protector and saddened that i wasn’t notified especially when i am out of town,’ the Little Mermaid star concluded.
In a follow-up tweet, that’s also since been deleted, Bailey confessed that she’s been battling ‘severe postpartum’ and shaded DDG for not respecting her ‘boundaries.’
‘as a woman experiencing severe postpartum, there are boundaries that I wish to be respected. no one knows what someone is going through until they snap, she penned.
Both tweets were deleted from Bailey’s X account, which boasts 2.2million followers, after less than two hours.
She received an outpouring of support from her fans, who stressed the importance of respecting boundaries while co-parenting.
‘Totally understandable, boundaries are important, especially during such a sensitive time. Hope they can work things out,’ one kind tweet read.
Another added: ‘Respect her boundaries—postpartum is no joke.’
Though most of Bailey’s replies were supportive, many encouraged her to keep the drama ‘offline’ and to, instead, speak to DDG about the matter privately.
‘Why bring problems on to social media? Call him instead. Simple,’ penned one X user wrote, with another asking: ‘What exactly is telling twitter gonna do for you’
Others even went as far as to call the new mom a hypocrite since she herself has shared Halo’s face with millions of fans on X and Instagram.

‘If she post her kid on twitter or IG she’s like doing the same thing,’ one DDG fan posed.
But several individuals pointed out that DDG bringing Halo onto a public platform that does not belong to either one of his parents may have crossed a line.
DDG has yet to publicly address Bailey’s tweets/claims.
The online drama comes just over a month after the rap artist confirmed that he and Bailey had split up after nearly three years together.
The pair struck up a relationship in early 2022 and welcomed Halo in December 2023.
‘After much reflection and heartfelt conversations, Halle and I have decided to go our separate ways. This decision was not easy, but we believe it’s the best path forward for both of us,’ DDG wrote on Instagram of the split in October.
Adding: ‘I cherish the time we’ve spent together and the love we’ve shared. Despite the change in our relationship, our love for each other remains deep and true.’
DDG concluded his statement by noting that he and Halle intend to ‘co-parent’ their little one going forward as he asked fans to respect their ‘understanding and support’ at during this time.
He said: ‘As we focus on our individual journeys and our roles as co- parents, we cherish the bond we’ve built and the beautiful moments we’ve shared.’
‘As we navigate this transition, we ask for your understanding and support. Thank you for your love and encouragement. – DDG.’
Halle doesn’t often comment on her private life and had even given birth several weeks before she actually revealed it to the world.

At the time, she explained: ‘There was no way in hell I was going to share the biggest joy of my world with anyone. Halo was my gift. He is the greatest blessing, and I had no obligation to expose him, me, or my family to that.’
The actress and rapper first sparked romance rumors back in January 2022 and a few months later in March, went public with their budding romance.
At the time, DDG jumped to his main Instagram page to share a since-deleted birthday tribute to Halle.
The star had written, ‘Happy Birthday to the beautifulest, the flyest, the sweetest. Love you forever.’
In June 2022, the pair made their red carpet debut as they attended the BET Awards together and sported all-black ensembles during the event.
They made other appearances that year, such as stopping by Paris Fashion Week and later walked the red carpet at the Avatar: The Way Of Water screening in December 2022.
During a past interview with Essence, Bailey opened up about how both she and DDG met and when asked whether she was in love, the performer answered with, ‘Yes. For sure I am.’
‘I grew up being on YouTube and would always see the young Black creators and was constantly inspired by them. He was one of them,’ she explained to the outlet.
‘I completely forgot about him. But then I saw that he was dropping music, and I really gravitated toward this one song. Coincidentally he messaged me – and the rest is history.’
In 2022, Halle also appeared in DDG’s music video for the track titled, If I Want You.
The music artist had also supported Bailey when she took on the leading role in Disney’s The Little Mermaid.

‘I’m very proud of her. And I’m just happy to see it,’ DDG informed People. ‘I feel like sometimes I’m even more excited than anybody else. Just seeing it and seeing everything that she dreamed of coming to life, it’s really dope.’
Throughout 2023, the actress and rapper were spotted on various occasions together, such as attending Milan Fashion Week and the Vanity Fair Oscars party.
In May 2023, Halle discussed her relationship with Darryl while talking to People and was asked if the romance was that of a fairytale. ‘People love to talk about this. Yeah. I would say that.’
‘I think the best thing about young love is that you’re able to continue to find yourself through this journey of loving somebody else.’
Bailey added, ‘And you’re discovering new parts of yourself and maybe things that you didn’t notice before about your heart.’
Halle has also been working on a debut solo album – which has yet to be released – and told Cosmopolitan last year that songs were inspired by ‘love’ and said, ‘All musical inspiration really just comes from life experiences.’
‘Love has been a really big one for me too, because that’s something I’m experiencing for the first time, and it’s, like, ‘whoa’ in your brain. It’s just fireworks, a spark for creativity.’
‘You know, you have puppy love experiences, you think that’s love. But this is my first deep, deep, real love.’
And earlier this year in January, after sparking pregnancy rumors, Halle confirmed that she and DDG had welcomed their first child together – a son named Halo.
At the time, she took to her main Instagram page and uploaded a photo as she gently held her baby boy’s tiny fingers.
She penned in the caption, ‘even though we’re a few days into the new year, the greatest thing that 2023 could have done for me, was bring me my son.. welcome to the world my halo. the world is desperate to know you.’
In April, rumors began to circulate that both Bailey and DDG had split when she was seen at Coachella solo – but her rep shut down the rumors to TMZ.
In a candid Snapchat video – which had been uploaded a fan to Instagram – the songstress opened up about suffering from ‘severe’ postpartum depression.
‘It almost feels like you’re swimming in this ocean that’s, like, the biggest waves you’ve ever felt, and you’re trying not to drown, and you’re trying to come up for air.’
DDG announced the breakup via Instagram
Bailey previously described her romance with the rapper as being like a ‘fairytale’; seen in February
She added, ‘I just wanted to speak a little bit about my postpartum journey as a new mom and now trying to work while still being severely postpartum.’
‘So, honestly, I have severe, severe postpartum. I don’t know if any new moms can relate, but it’s to the point where it’s really bad.’
However, she said DDG is ‘the most amazing daddy in the world’ and further gushed that she ‘couldn’t ask for a better person to have a baby with.’
And over the summer in July, Bailey and DDG showed their son’s face for the first time in social media snaps as well as a vlog uploaded to YouTube – three months before announcing their split in October.
